Garrets International Commercial Refurbishment

This full commercial fit out and build project for Garrets International allowed the company to work in a more agile way. We concentrated on office space planning first, using 2D floor plans and working drawings to reallocate the square footage to suit the evolving needs of the business. To achieve a new level of flexibility, we planned new walls and office partitions to create more usable areas. New fundamental elements to improve staff welfare included new lighting, flooring, air conditioning, ceilings and a thorough redecoration. The first fix stage also included a revised provision of data and power sources, which go a long way in improving staff efficiency.
MPL also specified and designed new bespoke office furniture, including new office chairs, meeting room tables, occasional seating, office storage solutions and height-adjustable workstations. Crucial to a more agile way of working for Garrets International are the break-out pods designed by MPL. These centrally located seating arrangements are designed to counteract the formality of traditional board rooms and encourage employee engagement and spontaneous collaboration.
MPL Interiors has also created a number of conventional meeting rooms and traditional offices by using glass partitions. We added an extra layer of privacy by applying custom-made opaque vinyl decals to the glass, featuring the Garrets name and star motif to reinforce the brand and to add interest. Elsewhere, a Garrets 3D wall logo with illumination carries the brand forward.
