MPL Interiors was approached by the new owners of Hampstead Orthodontic Practice - a private healthcare facility - after they saw our work for the dentist next door. We were asked to design a cost effective overhaul and refurbishment so it could compete with other practices in the area. The tired and dated practice was screaming out for a cosmetic update and a splash of colour. The bulk of the budget was spent on the shopfront and reception area to create a
better patient journey and experience. The shopfront alteration needed planning permission, which was granted, although we had to install a traditional timber version to reflect the local vernacular. New flooring, office wall art, a custom-made reception counter, internally illuminated shelves, comfortable patient seating, a recessed fish tank, a TV and bespoke paperwork storage - all highlighted by a fresh green and white colour palette - have transformed the
front of house. Treatment rooms became more tranquil spaces with floor-to-ceiling vinyl graphics - printed with forest images - applied to the walls in front of the dental chairs. Storage within the practice was at breaking point, so we created a bespoke storage area to the rear of the office, with a tailored solution to hold moulds and relating dental equipment.
