Not every shop fitting project we take on is a gleaming High Street premise with little or no restrictions. Our work for estate agent Jeremy Swan in Great Missenden allowed us to show our respect for heritage and light touch. This full design and refurbishment took place in a listed building in a pretty village that also
fell in a conservation area - placing some limitations on designs, outdoor signage and shop fronts. The MPL team worked closely with the local council’s conservation team to create an interior that reflected the nature of the building and did not ruin any of the historic elements. The footprint of the
branch was quite small, so we kept the interior design as light as possible to evoke the feeling of space. We created a bespoke special feature wall within the office, installing white timber panels across a large area, with the clients’ 'swan local' company logo design cut out from the panels.
