Office Refurbishment for Skin Transform, Rickmansworth

MPL was charged with designing and specifying a new cosmetic practice near Rickmansworth, laying down details to transform an empty unit near Rickmansworth The brief In an industry driven by aesthetics and enhancement, it was only natural for the owners of Skin Transform to request a practice design that was easy on the eye. The brief for a clean, professional and calm environment was met with a soothing spa-influenced set of designs, and smart office space planning fulfilled the request for three crucial treatment rooms and a reception area. Our approach While aesthetics were a crucial part of this project, MPL started with a layout design to divide the compact space provided.
Detailed drawings to site electrics, plumbing, data, power and aircon were essential to ensure the practice ran efficiently, and these were followed by 2D space plans that illustrated where walls and dividers would go in order to apportion the space correctly. The cosmetic treatment With the space laid out, MPL moved on to specifying the look and feel of the practice, with 3D visuals giving a near real-life indication of the finished look. Neutral shades, a bespoke reception counter, leather furniture and feature lighting create an ethereal atmosphere, designed to put clients at ease, and strike the right balance between clinical and calm. A textured feature wall was included as a focal point, with halo-effect LED lighting also adding interest.
A new face lift The external aspects of Skin Transform were also given a makeover. MPL Interiors designed a façade package to reflect the company’s corporate branding. A new fascia, projecting sign and cable strung window display pockets were designed to look neat and polished, in keeping with the aesthetic practice’s line of work. Additional elements This project also included the design and specification of a communal kitchen, cloakroom and planning to ensure DDA regulations were met.
