MPL Interiors has an ongoing relationship with estate agents Coopers but when it was called to produce office interior designs for its brand new Fitzrovia branch, the brief was slightly different.
Set in a conservation area in London with a distinct boutique feel, this office fit out was driven by the local demographic. Our branding services couldn't veer too far from the Coopers corporate line but the client was happy break a few in-house rules in order to appeal to the local market.
The usual vivid Coopers blue was purposely darkened for a more sophisticated look, while local planning restrictions dictated the type of exterior lighting that could be used, resulting in a classical swan-neck fitting that beautifully highlighted the business signage.
Taking our lead from the neighbouring shops, this estate agent window display is very parred down and subtle, with just five individual, freestanding LED pockets. Completing the shopfront is a ceiling-mounted LCD screen that faces out onto the street.
The interior has been painted white so the carefully chosen fittings really stand out. A custome-made internally-illuminated box canvass; a bespoke walnut-framed illuminated wall map; contemporary 'statement' chandeliers; a sofa; a coffee table and a bespoke block-end dealer desk complete this London office fit out.
