Humphrey & Brand Office Refurbishment

Humphrey & Brand’s move to a new corner position on Surbiton High Street was a conscious decision to increase walk-in custom and awareness. As well as a new office, the estate agent had an updated brand image, where its familiar purple had been diluted with greys and whites for a fresher look.

The former florists was fully refurbished, including the façade, main open plan office and back rooms. The dated exterior was replaced with frameless glass, a new front door, new internally lit exterior signage and a projecting sign. Internally, MPL installed digital window displays and a four-screen digital wall, with a slim-line housing to
accommodate the screens and their associated wiring. To enhance the screens even further, MPL installed LED lighting above. Another facet that draws the eye is the bespoke reception desk. This was designed and specified to match the bespoke storage unit that sits at the back of the office, which incorporates an integrated drinks fridge, cubbyhole storage and shelving for a coffee machine. The front reception space features brand colour-matched occasional chairs, a coffee table and plank-effect vinyl flooring. To the rear, and marked by a change in floor
covering to carpet, is the staff area. A cluster of desks with privacy screens, along with two smaller end desks that form a semi circle, have been supplied and the shape they form has been mimicked above by a new drop ceiling.

Adding further interest is a 3D textured faux brick wall, 3D acrylic logo wall art, framed artwork and pendant lights. The seven week project also comprised all new plumbing, wiring, ceilings, floors, data supply, relocation of the air conditioning units, and the refurbishment of a back office communal kitchen, storage room and meeting room.
