Proback - Commercial Refurbishment

Carrying out commercial refurbishments in the healthcare sector is a specialty of MPL Interiors. We have a deep understanding of the specific requirements attached to healthcare design and clinic interiors, and our portfolio encouraged ProBack Clinics to commission the refurbish of its new practice space in the City of London. As well as a full lighting, flooring and cosmetic overhaul, we created a space design to accommodate ProBack’s diagnostic and treatment technology. Primarily this included the treatment rooms where x-rays and lasers are used. MPL’s fitters lined the walls with a high grade shielding material to create a safe environment for both patients and practitioners.
The design team also had discussions with the ProBack team with regards to specialist equipment and power provisions. Our work for ProBack meant creating an aesthetic look that reinforced its brand and provided clients with reassurance that they were entering a healthcare environment. For the reception area, we created an alcove using false walls, fitted bespoke storage in a style specified by the client and installed two pod-style desks that keeps the space neat. Small details that make a big difference include LED strip lighting below and above the wall cupboards, which brightens the recess, and free standing fret-cut acrylic letters, spelling ProBack.
Everything in the reception area has been fitted in white to promote a sense of cleanliness but the feature wall colour has been chosen to create a dramatic foil.A peacock blue makes a bold statement in the treatment rooms and in the communal areas. MPL Interiors is now drawing up space plans for the basement level of ProBack’s City of London clinic, to include a second reception space, a staff kitchen, a private office and further treatment rooms. Additionally, we are working on plans for a refit and clinic interior design of ProBack’s sister facility in London Victoria.
