Robsons estate agent had previously occupied a smaller unit in Pinner town centre but secured a new corner premise after successful trading and increased market share. The brief was to produce a stunning external presence that passing traffic would notice day and night.
A combination of internal and external lighting was installed to create a show-stopping façade. Although the external sign is lit by simple trough lights, this job illustrates how internal lighting can have a massive impact, especially after dark. To make Robsons shine, MPL Interiors installed a low-
level back-lit LED window display system, which doesn’t clutter the window and allows the other internal facets to stand out. which doesn’t clutter the window and allows the other internal facets to stand out. These include an internally-lit monochrome wall map, hand-built desks with illuminated and personalized modesty panels, a picture wall with a stylistic long-exposure photograph lit by integrated spotlights and a custom-made storage unit with backlighting for a contemporary style statement. The client made it clear that the new office needed to catch the eye in a competitive marketplace,
so we ensured the corporate colour scheme was highlighted by bold lighting choices. The new Robsons office is very angular and needed a professional touch to get the most from the floor plan. Bespoke furniture – such as the reception desk and storage unit – were made to fit the office’s exact dimensions, ensuring no inch of floor or wall space was wasted.
This project also included the refurbishment of a first floor lettings office, and all new floor coverings, fixtures, data points and furniture.
