Office refurbishment, Weald Wealth

When Kent-based wealth management specialists Weald Wealth moved to a bigger premise of almost 4,000 sq ft, it took the chance to encompass an agile way of working and replace tired office furniture at the same time.

The client inherited a traditional office set up, with lots of small rooms and a rather oppressive feel. Our new office layout and reconfiguration illustrated how the floor could be opened up, with our remit including a new ceiling, new lighting, new floor coverings, and bespoke office furniture in the form of new office chairs and desks throughout.
Walls were knocked down to create a light interior space with an open kitchen, intended encourage employees to have informal meetings over a coffee. We built in plenty of storage so the space stayed clutter free, with handle-free cabinetry and a counter-style, glass-topped island unit for a sleek show room look. Our office space design also included a break out room with seating and microwave, as the client wanted staff to heat up food and eat lunch away from the open plan area.

The theme throughout is contemporary, with grey and white paired with yellow and turquoise for vibrancy.
Glass partitions add to the airy feel, which we have used to create a number of private meeting rooms. The glass walls grant soundproofed privacy but allow the light to flow.

The client requested that the boardroom and waiting area – the two places their clients would see – feel more luxurious and distinctive. In these areas we specified different materials, treatments and colours that would set the spaces apart - walnut veneer paneling, copper pendent lights, LED feature lighting and a metallic wall mounted logo create a more upscale feel. The addition of LCD screens – finish the look.
