Facilitating an agile way of working
Design and installation elements included the creation of a new mezzanine floor, all services, data and power points, internal gardens, several lounge/break out areas, several private meeting rooms, glass meeting pods, a 20-seat boardroom, a stunning reception area and floor-to-ceiling whiteboard writing walls.
Engaging & retaining employees
While functional, Lanes PLC employees have also been treated to a motivating workplace that will improve staff retention, increase productivity and attract new talent. The indoor garden areas are particularly unusual, with bark-style wall coverings, organic sculptures and grass-effect lampshades, among other facets. Some other quirky features of the new headquarters include a Starbucks coffee concession, an American diner-style break out area with booth and stools, a staff restaurant, refreshment stations, a pick and mix sweet station, and a games zone equipped with a pool table, air hockey and a foosball table.
Additional elements
With over 250 staff, MPL was also asked to include a staff cloakroom with shower area, lockers with glass tops and keypad locks, a medical room and a prayer/quiet room into the space design.
