Having been given an empty unit in good condition, this inspiring estate agency office refurbishment concentrated on a luxury interior design concept, office layout, signage package, and accompanying set of detailed electrical, lighting and data plans.
Our knowledge of Seymours, having refitted its Woking office, was a major reason why MPL was chosen ahead of other office refurbishment companies in the UK. The franchisees of the Camberley branch were keen to give their workplace a different cosmetic finish, so our design concepts took familiar elements that can be seen across the Seymours group and combined these with more bespoke touches to appeal to the local home moving market.
This new Seymours branch is the perfect illustration of how relocating or opening a new office can boost business. The Camberley branch is located in a newly-developed shopping district, where there is a conscious effort to attract more upmarket High Street brands and increase visitor numbers. Seymours was heartened by the fact that jewellery store Pandora was vacating this unit for a bigger premise nearby due to success, while other well-known brands were choosing this regenerated part of the town in favour of the older High Street.
MPL Interiors decided to capitalise on the potential for brisk pedestrian traffic by working with its technology partner, InTouch display, to install a touch-operated screen in the Seymours shop window. The screen can be activated by passers-by from the street-side of the glass, even when the branch is shut, therefore providing a 24-hour property search facility and data capture point.
Amplifying the branch’s visibility is a collection of illuminated elements that catch the eye. Externally there is a stunning back-lit facia with 3D lettering, a ceiling-mounted screen that faces out to the public and low-level LED display pockets. Internally, there is a wall-mounted, illuminated logo that mirrors the fascia lettering, an integrated LCD screen and feature lighting to the desks.
MPL provided the foundations for a great collaboration with the owners of this Seymours branch. Our designers created a detailed interior design concept that married familiar elements of the Seymours brand with new aesthetics, especially for this location. The design is anchored by the bespoke desks and signage, which is a look consistent across the entire Seymours network, but we specified the number of different textures, colours, and accessories that would bring personality to space.
