The brief

When Leaders took over a more central and prominent premises in Weybridge - formerly occupied by a different estate agent - it requested an estate agent commercial refurbishment that would not only differentiate it from its predecessor but one that also appealed to a more discerning clientele, all to be wrapped up in the Leaders brand identity.

Our approach

Having previously created a concept office for Leaders and refurbishing many of its other offices in line with the new design blueprint, our team sought to elevate the overarching corporate identity with subtle, contemporary twists that would distinguish this branch and bespoke it for the Weybridge community.

Customising for a specific demographic

Alongside the core elements used across Leaders’ other branches - historical photos enlarged and bespoke tinted to match the corporate blue, an illuminated box frame map and an illuminated wall logo – we added damask print and wood-effect wallpapers, on-trend white picture ledges, designer-style occasional chairs, a custom-specified desk complete with low stools to create an informal meeting point, and splashes of light blue and pink (seen in the chairs and in the vinyl wallpaper behind the custom-built pigeon-hole storage).

Changing the structure for a better fit

The Weybridge refurbishment also involved a huge amount of structural reconfiguration and space planning. The design team worked to increase the width and length of the office using the same footprint by removing walls and partitions.

The retained and rather quirky fabric of the building was utilised to create bespoke storage areas - including a novel in-built filing cabinet recessed into an awkwardly shaped wall.

Additional aspects

The Weybridge project also included a flush-fit LCD screen, a feature drop ceiling with lighting, new exterior signage and a projecting sign, a new swing sign, LED illuminated window pockets mounted on individual arms with concealed fixings, and a complete refit of the cloakrooms, the kitchen/staff area, a storage room, and a communications area.
