When Coopers took over an old bank premises, it commissioned a full fit out and estate agent office design that was destined to become the talking point of the local community.

The brief
When Coopers acquired a former Lloyds Bank in Ickenham on the Greater London/Middlesex border, it called upon MPL to provide design and estate agent office fitout expertise. As well as layout designs for the front-of-house area and a private meeting room, we were tasked with creating a new shop front, window displays, and internal personalisation.

We have worked with Coopers for a number of years and each time we always push to create new exciting interiors and develop the agency’s image to really make them stand out from the competition.
Lighten up
The new Ickenham office has become a trailblazer when it comes to wall art, with MPL Interiors creating a first-of-its-kind illuminated panel system to bring impact and branding to the walls. The effect from the panels is ethereal and has provided a huge talking point in the local community – exactly the desired effect Coopers wanted.
Planning permission sought and granted
MPL Interiors work closely with Coopers’ own trades, ensuring the fit-out teams worked in harmony to deliver a flawless refurbishment on time. Within our design consultancy role, MPL Interiors gained planning permission for the new façade, overcoming a number of restrictions in order to design, commission and install a hand-built timber shopfront with individual backlit text to please the planners. The new signage was complemented by individually back-lit window displays sitting on the window sill, with all the electrics hidden from view in the recessed area.
