Our estate agent interior office design and time-management expertise proved invaluable for Highcastle Estates, who called in MPL Interiors after starting its own refurbishment project and realising it needed professional assistance and more creative estate agent interior design ideas.

The brief
As estate agent fitouts go, this project was all about bespoke elements. A clean, open feeling was created thanks to a high level of customization and an interior designs based on Highcastle Estates’ corporate shade of grey,.
Highcastle Estates had managed to complete the first fix stage of this shop fit out but realized the time-consuming refurbishment process was taking them too far away from their day-to-day agency roles. Therefore, MPL Interiors was handed a blank canvass for its designers to specify, customise and populate.
A reception desk with wow factor
The fixtures and fittings we installed were almost entirely designed from scratch or customized. Setting the tone is a bespoke reception desk, with our designers creating and building a split-level item with internal storage. The main part of the desk is coated in a colour-matched textured grey laminate, which has also been used on the wall panels behind the desk.
Elsewhere, the metal work of the desks, the LED window displays, the frames around the glass partitions and the legs of the occasional coffee tables were all sprayed to match the Highcastle grey. This brings a sense of unity to the design, and ensures the aesthetic is unique and reflective of the client’s corporate image.
Discovering new design techniques
As well as grey being a strong brand ambassador in this design, the company name enjoys good visibility but two new bespoke techniques were conceived to achieve the look.
Firstly, the illuminated letters and logo on the wall panels had such a slim profile that the MPL designers had to reinvent how the letters were made and how the LEDs were housed. Secondly, the branding to the front of the reception desk was a first, with a clever manipulation of materials resulting in a sophisticated debossed effect – the reverse of embossing.
