The Brief
The objective of this dental office refurbishment was to create new treatment rooms, a new consultation area, and a corridor so patients and staff could safely access the fire exit.
We were also asked to provide branding for public-facing areas and new lighting to highlight the fantastic original features within the beautiful listed Georgian townhouse.
Our Approach
Our experience of working in buildings with listed status was called into action from day one, with a special requirement of ensuring all new installations could be removed without damaging the fabric and character of the building.
One of the biggest challenges was creating the new partitioning that not only had to be bespoke - designed to fit around the ornate plasterwork and coving - but also had to offer a degree of soundproofing, provide privacy and let in as much natural light as possible. The design process involved a number of technical drawings, space plans and 3D visuals created by us so the client could finalise the plan before work started on site.
